During spring/summer use a lightweight percale or linen duvet cover so it feels cooler.
Washing polyester-filled alternative comforters is should be washed a few times a year and is easy to do. For longer use of your alternative down comforter, we recommend setting the washing machine to a gentle or delicate cycle, using cool water and a small amount of mild detergent. Tumble Dry on No Heat and add a tennis ball to the dryer. Then hang up the comforter to let it dry thoroughly.
You don’t have to wash your Eco Duvet frequently if you use a duvet cover on the comforter (see our duvet cover picks in various colors). A duvet cover will also keep dirt off the comforter’s outer layer that can cause discoloration through skin oils that can stain both cotton and alternate down filler.
